Chapter 3- A Story of Hope…Hope Callies

Chapter 3-

Normally, Hope would be super excited for the first day of school, but today she wasn’t. She got separated from all her 11 friends. No one to talk to or to talk about her issues. She couldn’t even be bothered to speak to a person today, because this year since she’s older now, the teachers are more strict and bossy.

The whole day went by pretty fast for Hope. The teachers talked about their selves, they set up a get-to-know-you activity for the students, and they talked about the expectations, lockers, supplies and of course just some activities to pass the time. Hope felt very lonely knowing that no friend is in the same room as her. She just felt…empty. As soon as she knew it, the bell has rung to go back home. Since it’s just a half day for the girls at Rocky Academy; they didn’t eat lunch. So Hope went to the locker that she had last year and took out her sliver lining, red polka-dotted back pack and quickly left the building,

While Hope was walking out of the building, she saw Delilah hanging out with her ‘new’ friends. Her heart sank. Hope understood that no one can only stick with one friend, but the fact that Delilah saw Hope walk by her and did nothing but just began to talk away like she normally did did not occur to her. Did Delilah want to just ignore and pretend that Hope never existed? And all of Hope’s problems would not be her care anymore? Hope couldn’t understand why. Especially why Delilah’s new friends gave her the ‘dirty’ look.

When Delilah got home…none of her family members where home. Mom, Justin, Casey and Jennifer were working, and Amber was working extra hard because there’s a ‘huge’ exam for her website learning. April went out grocery shopping and Marie was at a friend’s house. So Hope ran up the stairs, to her bedroom and slammed the door shut.

She cried for so long, at the corner of her bedroom. Hope just hated her life already, but now even more. She just couldn’t under stand why everything had to happen to her or her family. Why Delilah turned her off, and why she got separated. Why … just… why.
